 &nbsp\;\n\nJoin Nathan Shuey and Rabbi Rachel Dorit Goldberg for a contemp
 lative and interactive service honoring Tisha B’Av\, the traditional day
  of fasting and mourning for a number of disasters throughout Jewish histo
 ry.\n\nThere is a lot going on in the world and in our lives as Jews\, Ame
 ricans\, and global citizens. We want to provide a space to honor the pain
  of the destruction of our Holy Temples\, other traumas throughout our his
 tory\, October 7\, rising antisemitism\, and the personal disappointments 
 and pains we carry\, by creating a time for reflection\, love\, and healin
 g.\n\nTisha B’Av provides a unique opportunity to ritually grieve before
  we begin the soul-searching preparation for the High Holy Days. A day of 
 purgation and renewal.\n\nThere will be singing\, reading from the book of
  Eicha (Lamentations)\, discussion\, time for reflection and sharing\, and
  a hopeful look toward the High Holy Days.\n\nLight food and drinks will b
 e provided at the conclusion of the service\, including dates\, watermelon
 \, hard-boiled eggs\, Israeli salad\, quinoa salad\, herbal tea\, and wate
 r.\nFeel free to bring vegetarian sides to share.
