Vegetarian Potluck (and bring fruit to share)

Please join Rabbi Julie for a Havdallah (the ending of Shabbat) followed by an interactive, musical Tu B’Shevat Seder for all ages which will include eating fruits representing each of the 4 mystical worlds (physical, emotional, thinking, and spiritual).

Please bring a VEGETARIAN POTLUCK item AND a FRUIT from the following list of fruit groups (by age group). 

Fruit sharing:  Please bring a bit of fruit according to your age group

  1. PreK-2ndgrade:  Fruits with hard insides (with pits/large seeds, such as nectarine, dates, peaches, plums, olives, avocados), (representing the World of Emotions)
  2. 3rd, 4thgrades: Fruits with protective inedible outsides (coconut, oranges, bananas, pomegranates, kiwis) (representing the Physical world/World of Action)
  3. 5thgrade – Bnai mitzvah:  Fruits that are soft and have seeds all the way through (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, figs, carobs) (representing the World of Thought)
  4. All other ages:bring what you like to share!
