Welcome & Shalom

Temple Emek Shalom is proud of our Library and invites you to enjoy our wonderful collection of over 3,800 Jewish-themed books, periodicals, and audio/visual materials.

Please explore the Main Library (Main), filled with our extensive collections of religious texts, literature, biographies and much more. The adjacent Family Resource Center (FRC) is designed for parents, grandparents and teachers to enrich the Jewish learning of children, as well as adults, who wish to enhance their Jewish experience. There you will find books on Jewish celebrations and family life concerns, as well as, art books, cookbooks, Haggadas and more. The teen library housed in the Teen Room, is devoted to our young adult readers, while the playful Children’s Corner in our lobby offers youngsters colorful beanbag chairs, books and games.

The Emma Lazarus Library is dedicated to compiling and maintaining a collection of books and other educational materials that reflect the comprehensive experiences of the Jewish people and the varied expressions of Jewish life. We make this collection available to the Temple Emek Shalom family and to the people of the Rogue Valley, to foster knowledge and understanding of Judaism, within our congregation and among our neighbors.

We invite you to take advantage of all that the Library offers.

The library is now open Tuesday-Friday, 9am to 1pm
