Racial Justice Meeting

Wednesday, November 16th

7:00 – 8:30 pm

On the TES Zoom link

This past month has been eventful on many levels. Although increased anti-Semitic rhetoric and threats have, once again, featured largely in the news and in our society, on the positive side, we also have received the solidarity and support from our friends and allies in BASE (the Black Alliance for Social Empowerment). Last week we shared Shenmiakhu’s, (BASE’s Police Liaison) message of concern and support for our community, in light of those events.

At our upcoming Racial Justice meeting, on Wednesday, November 16th, at 7:00 pm, our topic will be that of Allyship – the role of advocating and showing solidarity for the inclusion of marginalized or politicized groups that are not of our own community. We will address next steps in actively speaking out against racist threats and acts that have dominated the Ashland news lately.

Please join us, and let us explore ways to further our work for social and racial equity in our local community.
