Celebrate Tu B'Shevat with us by Planting Roots for the Future!
All trees have been sold and we will be beautifing our Temple Emek Shalom campus! Together, we will plant – literally and figuratively – for a greener, more vibrant future.
This spring, we’ll be planting 18 (chai) beautiful trees along the parking lot perimeter to create shade, beauty, and a lasting legacy. Carefully selected for their resilience and beauty, these trees—Autumn Blaze Maples, Red Oaks, Sterling Silver Linden, Chinese Pistache, and Natchez Crape Myrtle—will offer a beautiful palette of spring and fall colors, screening and essential summer shade. They’re also climate-appropriate, being heat, drought, and fire-resistant.
Why we did this: Trees symbolize life, strength, and connection—values we cherish as a community. By supporting this effort, you’re creating a legacy that will nurture future generations while enhancing the beauty and sustainability of our synagogue. Also, another way of honoring l’dor v’dor (from generation to generation) in our synagogue.
Thank you for your support in making this vision a reality. Together, we’ll grow, thrive, and celebrate the blessings of nature and community.
